Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Research Technician II to provide responsible technical assistance in a translational gut microbiome lab. The role supports bench experiments, specimen tracking, and coordination with clinical staff to retrieve and process research specimens from hospital procedures.

You will assist with experiments, documentation, and maintaining supplies under supervision, contributing to data integrity and project continuity in a collaborative lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or two years of college with emphasis in field of assignment.
• No experience required with Bachelor's Degree or 2 years lab experience.
• High school diploma or GED acceptable with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine scientific and medical research tasks in biology-related fields.
• Assemble and operate laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Record data and discuss results with supervisor.
• Assist in data collection for project reports.
• Coordinate specimen retrieval and processing with clinical staff.
• Maintain supplies and document procedures and results.
