Qualifications

• Education: two years of college or specialized training in histology, medical technology or relevant field, or High School Diploma with basic sciences coursework.
• Experience: 1 year as Laboratory Technical Assistant or equivalent, or 3 years laboratory experience including two years as Laboratory Technical Assistant or equivalent with HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting experiments and working on research problems in physiology, bacteriology, tissue culture, chemistry, and related fields.
• Assembles and/or operates laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Records data and communicates results to supervisor, adjusting procedures as instructed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
