Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Research Technician D to join a breast cancer metastasis project in a multidisciplinary lab. You will maintain mammalian cancer cell lines, perform flow cytometry, tissue dissociation, and single-cell prep, and contribute to molecular biology workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, cancer biology, or related discipline; 4.5+ years of lab experience.
• Strong mammalian cell culture experience and molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manipulate mammalian cancer cell lines; generate engineered lines via transfection/viral transduction.
• Perform flow cytometry/FACS, tissue dissociation, cell isolation, and single-cell suspensions for analyses including single-cell RNA sequencing.
• Conduct molecular biology techniques: DNA/RNA/protein isolation, PCR/qPCR, immunofluorescence, IHC, and related assays.
• Carry out functional cell-based assays (migration, invasion, transwell, fluorescence reporters).
• Prepare tissues from mouse experiments, assist with animal handling, injections, tumor monitoring, tissue collection.
• Support multiplexed fluorescence imaging and quantitative microscopy.
• Troubleshoot, optimize protocols, and analyze data; maintain rigorous records.
• Maintain mouse colonies, genotyping, phenotyping, and breeding.
• Train/guide lab members and contribute to figures, methods, and manuscripts.
