Job summary

The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Research Technician to contribute to basic and translational cancer research, focusing on how mRNA translation regulates cancer progression, tumor immunity, and therapeutic response. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related science or equivalent skills and related experience.
  • Zero to two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a moderate number of simple or moderate technical procedures such as daily mammalian cell culture.
  • Molecular biology techniques including DNA/RN isolation; PCR/qPCR; western blotting; drug treatment experiments; flow cytometry.
  • Assist as needed with molecular cloning and mouse tumor studies and sample preparation for genomic, ribosome-profiling and proteomic analyses.
  • Prepare reagents and assist with lab organization and inventory; maintain accurate experimental records.
  • Require occasional guidance; order routine supplies; rarely modify procedures; rarely train or guide others.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related science or equivalent skills and related experience
