Job summary

Wayne State University is seeking a Research Technician at its Detroit campus to provide operational support for the AmeriCorps Community Training initiative and related projects on overdose rescue.

The role involves grant reporting, data collection, recruitment of service members, enrollment processing, and ensuring records meet funder guidelines; you will work with diverse communities and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences is highly preferred.
• Experience with Detroit communities or similar outreach is desirable.
• Experience with AmeriCorps programs and policies is highly preferred.
• Must have experience training, coaching, and supervising groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support AmeriCorps initiatives and ACT program operations.
• Assist in grant management and program reporting.
• Maintain data collection and reporting for naloxone access points.
• Recruit AmeriCorps members and manage enrollment targets.
• Complete enrollment, exit, and payroll-related paperwork.
• Ensure records comply with funder guidelines and perform file audits.
• Perform other duties to support program goals.
