Due to ongoing research and upcoming grant initiatives in our Neuroscience Program within the Department of Neurosurgery, and the expanding need for electrophysiological methodologies to study neurodevelopmental disorders, gait analysis, and traumatic brain injury, a dedicated Research Technician is needed. The primary responsibilities include supporting research in both preclinical mouse models and human participants, maintaining animal colonies, conducting cellular and molecular studies, tissue collection, sectioning (cryostat, vibratome), and immunohistochemistry.
The technician will assist research staff by conducting experiments, collecting data and samples, maintaining records, performing literature searches, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or a related health field. Alternatively, 48 months of equivalent experience will be accepted.
