Job summary

Job description

*Research Technician (Project Management)*

Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is an internationally recognized leader in the field of child maltreatment, prevention, and problematic sexual behaviors of youth. This position involves research at OU's National Center on the Sexual Behavior of Youth (ncsby.org). Responsibilities include managing data coding, collaborating with the research team, assisting with manuscripts, and providing evidence-based services for youth. This role is ideal for recent BA or MA graduates or those applying to graduate school. The technician supports research staff by collecting data, maintaining records, conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, and preparing reports.

Duties:

  • Collect data related to research projects
  • Review, code, and save archived data; coordinate with project staff to track cases
  • Conduct data collection virtually and in person, including in homes and communities
  • Maintain records of research information, including databases and hard files
  • Perform literature reviews and technical research
  • Analyze research data and prepare progress reports
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and errands
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the research

Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or related health field.

Equivalency/Substitution: 48 months of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree.
