Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Research Tech Life Science III in Athens to support immunology research on human parasitic infections using mouse models. Duties include plasmid work, CRISPR screening, and immunological assays, with training and independence in experimental execution.

Candidate will work in a dynamic lab with opportunities to develop diverse skills, manage project tasks, and collaborate across researchers while handling mice and human pathogens as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior research experience beneficial but not required.
• Willing to work with mice and human pathogens.
• Interest in tissue preparation and microscopy methods.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for recombinant protein expression and purification, data analysis, and execution of serological assays primarily using the Luminex platform.
• Experimental Design Planning, contributed to study design, protocol development, and optimization of experimental workflows.
• Designing and executing research experiments and protocols under guidance of the PI.
• The individual will work with other Research Techs and Research Professionals to perform research and will be able to collaborate on projects.
