Job summary

Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, seeks a Full-Time Librarian II in the Research and Teaching division. The regular work schedule is 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., allowing for flexibility to accommodate one evening shift per week, and an occasional Saturday as required.

This is a non-bargaining, exempt, grade 29 position. This position is currently eligible for telework one (1) day per week.

Qualifications

• MLS or MLS-related degree required.
• Three years of professional library experience.
• Ability to instruct and assist students in library resources.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
• Experience with information literacy instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional reference assistance and information services to library users.
• Deliver information literacy instruction in classroom and online settings.
• Liaise with Arts, English & Reading, and Humanities departments.
• Coordinate development of online learning tools and digital learning objects.
• Lead discussions on learning tools and instructional design principles.
