Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking two full-time Library Access Services Specialist I at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. The role provides front-line support to students, faculty, staff, and community members, helping them access materials and online resources, and guiding them through library services.

The position includes collaboration with IT, Facilities, and Public Safety. Successful candidates will have an Associate’s degree and 1 year library experience or 2 years of admin/customer

Qualifications

Associate’s degree required.
1 year library or 2 years administrative support/customer service experience preferred.
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line customer service at the library desk and online.
Assist users with locating materials and using the catalog/databases.
Troubleshoot basic hardware/software and library equipment.
Support course reserves, fines/fees, interlibrary loans, and displays.
Cross-train in service areas to cover shifts.
Help open/close the library and maintain safety.
