  • Understanding of sleep-related regulatory requirements and ethical considerations in human subjects research
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software (such as SPSS, R, or Python) – preferred
  • Experience with research databases and literature management tools – preferred
  • Project management experience or demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously – preferred
  • Background in grant writing or proposal development – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and implementing sleep medicine research methodologies, including polysomnography (PSG) data collection procedures and clinical study protocols
  • Collect, organize, and maintain research data using appropriate documentation systems, databases, and sleep-specific data management tools
  • Perform data entry, verification, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and completeness of sleep study records and participant information
  • Support data analysis activities by preparing datasets, running statistical analyses, and generating preliminary reports related to sleep medicine findings
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all research activities, including participant consent forms, sleep assessments, study progress, and regulatory documentation
  • Assist in literature reviews and compile relevant sleep medicine research materials to support ongoing studies
  • Coordinate with research team members, clinical staff, and study participants to ensure timely completion of study milestones and deliverables
  • Monitor compliance with institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements specific to sleep medicine research throughout the study process
  • Prepare research summaries, presentations, and documentation for team meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain data integrity
  • Support the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and other research documentation related to sleep medicine studies
  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with study participants, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the research process

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Research Study Assistant II to join our Sleep Medicine research team in Novi, Michigan.
