Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and accurately document research data according to established protocols and SOPs in the ED setting.
  • Assist in recruiting and screening study participants in acute care situations.
  • Prepare and maintain study files, records, and databases with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Coordinate study visits and ED research activities, including scheduling and materials.
  • Enter and verify data into electronic data capture systems and research databases with precision.
  • Conduct literature reviews and compile research information to support ongoing studies.
  • Assist with preparation of study reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all research activities.
  • Perform administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, inventory management, and record organization.
  • Communicate effectively with study participants, research team, ED staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Support quality assurance by identifying data discrepancies and issues.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and urgent research needs in the ED environment.
  • Assist in participant follow-up and retention with a professional approach.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Research Study Assistant I to join our research team in the Emergency Department at our Detroit, United States facility. In this entry-level position, you will provide essential support to research projects while working in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment. You will collaborate closely with senior research staff and emergency department personnel to ensure the smooth execution of research protocols, maintain the highest standards of data integrity, and support the advancement of emergency medicine research.
