UAB invites applications for a Research Software Engineer-ENT role to support Enterprise Research Computing systems used by university researchers. FOR USE BY IT AND HSIS ONLY: Supports Enterprise Research Computing (RC) systems that are used by university researchers. Participates in the analyzing, designing, estimating, developing, documenting, testing and implementing required research systems. Maintains and enhances assigned systems as needed. Serves a direct liaison with user, technical support, training and operations personnel. Provides technical and administrative support to the research computing department. Must commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
(Annual Salary: $70,425 - $114,440)
Bachelor's degree in Computer science, engineering or other relevant scientific and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
