Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent required.
• Three or more years of relevant security experience.
• Advanced certification may be preferred or required.
• Master’s degree preferred in health sciences, life sciences, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect research data and facilities.
• Collaborate with security, IT, and research teams to address security concerns, incidents, and breaches in research operations.
• Stay updated on security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance security measures and protect assets.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
• Monitor security systems, access controls, and surveillance technologies to detect and respond to incidents.
• Provide security training, awareness, and guidance to staff and stakeholders on best practices.
• Assist in security compliance checks, audits, and regulatory assessments to ensure adherence to standards.
• Participate in security incident response, investigations, and remediation efforts.
• Maintain security documentation, incident reports, and logs for compliance and response tracking.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
