Job summary

Bosch USA is seeking a Research Scientist- Vision-Language-Action (VLA) Models to push frontiers in Embodied AI for ADAS/ADAS and robotics. You will conduct research and engineering in core AI fields, exploring modular end-to-end perception and planning, and collaborating across global teams to integrate innovations into Bosch platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with multimodal transformer models, reinforcement learning, and publications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent with strong track record in AI, CV, robotics or related field.
• 3+ years of R&D experience in AI tech including computer vision and robotics or automotive motion/behavior planning.
• Proficiency in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and programming languages (Python, C++, Rust).
• Hands-on RL for behavior or motion planning and familiarity with RL techniques like PPO, DQN, DDPG.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and engineering in AI and ML to enable Embodied AI for ADAS/AD and related domains.
• Advance end-to-end perception and planning for ADAS/AD, incorporating multimodal models for reasoning and explainability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and integration.
• Implement research results to solve real-world challenges with high-quality system integration.
