Job summary

NYU Langone Health invites applications for a Research Scientist to join the EASE Lab and CSTAR collaborative efforts. You will conduct independent statistical analyses, collaborate with investigators, and contribute to study design and data management.

The role emphasizes epidemiology, biostatistics, and translational research with access to diverse data sources, including EHRs and national registries, and opportunities to contribute to publications and grants.

Qualifications

• MS degree and 2-4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with epidemiology or biostatistics.
• Experience with data sources like EHRs or registries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Principal Investigators and multidisciplinary research teams to develop, implement, and evaluate research studies aligned with the EASE Lab's scientific mission.
• Independently conduct statistical analyses and interpret findings under the guidance of the Director of the EASE Lab.
• Perform statistical analysis the CSTAR using data sources including EHRs, surveys, registries, and administrative datasets.
• Assist in development of research protocols, study methodologies, and statistical analysis plans.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of research techniques, analytic methods, and data management processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of research projects with data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation, abstracts, presentations, and reports as author or co-author.
• Assist with grant preparation, progress reports, and related documents.
• Coordinate research activities across investigators, trainees, and staff.
• Identify and resolve scientific, analytic, and operational challenges during research.
• Maintain current knowledge of advances in epidemiology, biostatistics, transplantation, aging.
