Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking one or more Professional Researchers (open rank) with expertise in human research on stress and resilience. The role combines collaborative and independent work under the Laboratory for Stress Assessment and Research in the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior.

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and be able to lead data analysis, article preparation, and grant-writing while training junior researchers and collaborating on multi-method

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree with relevant experience in psychology, psychiatry, statistics/biostatistics, and/or related field.
  • Ability to work independently and lead translational research projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scientific article preparation, data analysis and writing.
  • Attend regular team and project meetings; apply for grants and develop a portfolio of independent projects.
  • Train and supervise research assistants, undergraduate and graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows.
  • Conduct translational studies in the lab and collaborate across teams.
