Job description

Position Overview

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $93,700-$246,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series – Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position Description

The University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior is seeking established research scientists including clinical investigators at the Assistant / Associate / Full Professor level for the Ladder Rank series. Candidates must possess an M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or PhD degree and have an established track record of conducting impactful, competitively funded clinical/translational research in major mental health disorders, such as mood disorders (including major depression and bipolar illness), neurodevelopmental disorders, psychosis and addiction/substance use disorders. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to build new research programs that leverage the rich and uniquely collaborative intellectual environment and robust research infrastructure of the University of California at Irvine. Successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the educational mission of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior including the training of the next generation of mental health researchers.
