Job summary

UC Irvine’s Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior is seeking one or more Professional Researchers (open rank) with expertise in human stress and resilience. The role focuses on precision stress management, scalable interventions, and multi-omics approaches, in translational research within the Lab for Stress Assessment and Research under Dr. George Slavich.

The position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent, offers up to a 100%-time appointment for one year with possible renewal, and involves

Qualifications

• Experience in human research on stress and resilience.
• Ph.D. or equivalent degree with relevant experience in psychology, psychiatry, statistics/biostatistics, and/or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific article preparation, data analysis, and writing.
• Attend regular team and project meetings.
• Apply for grants and develop a portfolio of collaborative, independently funded projects through contracts and grants.
