Job summary

TOKYO ELECTRON AMERICA, INC. in Austin, TX is seeking a PhD candidate for a Summer 2027 Internship focused on mechanical and multi-physics simulations in semiconductor 3D integration.

You will apply Lean principles to your project, use Abaqus/Ansys/COMSOL, and develop models in Python or MATLAB while communicating results clearly in English.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate in mechanical engineering, materials science or relevant field.
• Experience with finite element software (Abaqus, Ansys, COMSOL).
• Experience with machine learning and programming (Python, MATLAB).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Available for Summer 2027 internship in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Simulate mechanical and multi-physics processes using FEM tools.
• Design and optimize mechanical components from simulation results.
