Job summary

The selected candidate for the Research Scientist position will assist the PI and Co-PIs in the implementation of all research and education activities associated with the new Interdisciplinary Biomedical Engineering Core ( IBEC ) facility at NC A&T.

In this role, the Research Scientist will operate and maintain high-end analytical instrumentation in the IBEC, facilitate training of users on the instruments, and assist users with the development of experimental workflow.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioscience, genomics, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Background in genomics and analytical biochemistry; strong publication record; experienced developing experimental workflows and training users.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-end analytical instrumentation in the IBEC.
• Facilitate training of users on the instruments and assist with developing experimental workflows.
