Role Overview

We are looking for Machine Learning Research Engineers and Scientists to help develop groundbreaking foundation models in the field of physics. In this role, you’ll work on designing, training, and deploying large-scale AI models for applications in areas such as weather and energy systems.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement cutting-edge ML models for complex spatiotemporal data.
• Lead the development of scalable AI systems from initial research through to production deployment.
• Optimize training and inference pipelines for performance and efficiency.
• Run validation experiments and analyze model performance.
• Lead long-term research efforts with the potential for substantial real-world impact.
• Collaborate with a high-caliber team of researchers and engineers.

We Expect You to Have

• A strong track record in building and deploying deep learning models.
• Advanced coding skills in Python and experience with modern ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Experience with distributed training systems and managing large-scale data workflows.
• Solid software engineering skills and a good grasp of system design.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

• MSc or PhD in AI, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Research publications in leading AI venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML).
• Experience with advanced ML methods such as transformers, diffusion models, self-supervised learning, or training/fine-tuning of foundation models.
