Job summary

DigitalFish seeks a skilled imaging scientist to advance camera capture and display tech for MR/AR wearables. You will work on camera color processing, display characterization, and studies of device performance to improve immersive experiences.

Ideal candidates hold an MS/PhD in a relevant field and are proficient in MATLAB, Python, C#, and C++. You will develop perceptual features, CV/ML algorithms, and HG/AR rendering techniques, collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science, Imaging Science, Image Processing, Computer Vision, or related fields.
  • Strong background in color science and imaging science.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C#, and C++.
  • Strong background in user experience, machine learning, computer vision, VR & AR.
  • Knowledgeable in data analysis and signal processing.
  • Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of image processing, HDR imaging, image segmentation, depth estimation, human color perception, AR/VR rendering.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop perceptual features for immersive MR/AR experiences by modeling human perception.
  • Establish camera and display image quality metrics for MR/AR benchmarking.
  • Create a platform for objective and subjective psychophysical studies to evaluate virtual object rendering in MR/AR applications.

THE ROLE

As part of a small and dynamic team, you'll advance imaging technology for camera capture and display systems used in wearable MR/AR devices, enabling and enhancing the augmented reality experiences possible on the device. Projects will include camera color processing, camera and display characterization, and studies of device performance and effectiveness.

  • Develop perceptual features for immersive MR/AR experiences by modeling human perception
  • Establish camera and display image quality metrics for MR/AR benchmarking

BENEFITS
  • The annual compensation includes equity (per qualifications)
  • The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 plus equity (per qualifications)
  • The base pay offered will take into account internal parity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
