Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an extraordinary innovator in networking and system architecture to join our Research team in Santa Clara. You will design networks optimized for AI systems and apply AI/ML to advance network architecture for real-time decisions in control, routing, and scheduling.

You will research and prototype high-performance interconnects, collaborate with academia, publish papers, and contribute to new products. The base salary range is $168,000 to $264,500, with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate or recently completed in CS/CE/EE/Physics/Math or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant industrial and academic experience in AI infrastructure or HPC networking.
• Publications in systems or networking venues are a plus.
• Evidence of impactful contributions via artifacts (open-source, prototypes, deployments).

Responsibilities

• Design networks and AI-driven interconnects for high-performance distributed AI systems.
• Develop AI/ML-based routing, traffic engineering, congestion control, and scheduling mechanisms.
• Prototype ideas in simulation or analytical models; evaluate new architectures.
• Collaborate with external researchers and contribute to open research discussions.
• Publish papers and participate in conferences to advance networking for AI.
• Contribute to devices and software co-design for scalable AI systems.
