Job summary

Metron Inc. in Reston, VA seeks talented scientists and engineers to develop mathematical models, prototypes, and software for national security projects.

You will interact with customers, gather requirements, and present briefings as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ideal candidates have strong programming skills in Java/C/C++/MATLAB/Python, experience in AI/ML or signal processing, and a background in mathematical modeling for uncertain environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, engineering, operations research, or related field
• Programming experience in Java, C, C++, MATLAB, Mathematica and/or Python
• Mathematical modeling, simulation, signal processing, tracking and fusion, AI/ML or physical modeling experience, specifically in uncertain environments
• US Citizenship required; security investigation and eligibility for access to classified information

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, gather requirements and data, and write/present briefings.
• Develop mathematical models, algorithms, prototype software for research and development customers.
• Participate in operational analysis related to technical work.
• Collaborate in small teams led by Senior Scientists from concept to software and algorithm design and demonstration.
