Job summary

ByteDance's ByteBrain team seeks a PhD holder to design AI/ML and optimization algorithms for massive infrastructure systems. You will deploy and scale these algorithms in production, exploring innovative research directions and translating findings into practical engineering solutions.

You will collaborate across teams to advance AI for infrastructure, publish in top venues, and contribute to the evolution of AI-native infrastructure across ByteDance's global platforms.

Qualifications

PhD or near completion with strong research background in AI/ML, OR, or related fields.
Proven track record of publications in top-tier venues.
Strong coding abilities and ability to bridge research and production.

Responsibilities

Design and develop AI, ML, and optimization algorithms to improve efficiency and performance of large-scale systems.
Drive deployment, scaling, and continuous improvement of algorithms in production environments.
Identify optimization opportunities from real infrastructure scenarios and translate into solutions.
Conduct cutting-edge research and publish papers in top conferences/journals.
