SK hynix memory solutions America Inc. is hiring a Research Scientist to advance loop engineering and AI infrastructure research in San Jose.

You will own research questions, methods, and written results, working on AI-assisted hardware/software co-design loops and full-stack memory-system optimization. The role involves developing automated design flows, evaluating power, performance, and area, and collaborating across teams to translate research into reusable methodologies for next-generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science; Ph.D. preferred.
• Proven ability to drive research questions to written results.
• Strong programming and research communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish best practices for SoC design automation and design-space exploration.
• Design and implement co-design loops using SoC tools, simulators, and AI agents.
• Build flows with Chisel, XLS, simulators, and ASIC/FPGA CAD.
• Measure design outcomes and document results for reproducibility.
