Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee the Memory and Aging Project (MAP) department, guiding daily activities, staff supervision, and coordination of core projects and dissemination efforts.

The role partners with the research team to cultivate culturally tailored care, promote diversity and inclusion, and optimize workflows across community-based assessments, budgets, and reporting, in a normal office environment with occasional

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of project coordination experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages research, core projects, and training and/or dissemination of programs. Leads research projects and manages staff performing all project components.
  • Optimizes workflows to ensure completion of community-based clinical and cognitive assessments while maintaining an environment that is safe, comfortable, and culturally appropriate for patients and their families.
  • Provides technical and managerial expertise associated with the culturally tailored implementation of studies and projects.
  • May participate in the development of research grants and contracts.
  • Provides oversight for accounting functions and financial oversight of project budgets and all expenditures.
  • Supervises staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
