Job description

Position Summary

Manages the departmental operations for community outreach-focused studies under the Memory and Aging Project (MAP). Oversees the implementation of all department operational activities. Provides leadership on the daily operation of the department. Manages departmental projects, programs, and Cores and optimizes day-to-day workflows among multiple staff. The position will partner with the research team to continue to cultivate culturally tailored care, increase diversity and inclusion, and provide a welcoming environment for research.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages research, core projects, and training and/or dissemination of programs. Leads research projects and manages staff performing all project components.
  • Optimizes workflows to ensure completion of community-based clinical and cognitive assessments while maintaining an environment that is safe, comfortable, and culturally appropriate for patients and their families.
  • Provides technical and managerial expertise associated with the culturally tailored implementation of studies and projects.
  • May participate in the development of research grants and contracts.
  • Provides oversight for accounting functions and financial oversight of project budgets and all expenditures. Provide support to the school's grants in support of the center work.
  • Supervises staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • This position will have community engagement and will occasionally need to conduct work at community partner centers in addition to Washington University.

Salary Range

$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
