Job summary

BBG Ventures, LLC is seeking a Research Operations Specialist, Contracts, Vendors & Spend on a contract basis in San Francisco, CA. You will own the contract and spend lifecycle for the Research team's vendors and tools, partnering with Legal and Procurement to streamline processes and enable researchers to focus on their work.

Ideal candidates have procurement, contracts administration, or vendor operations experience, with strong Airtable and P2P systems, and a systems-thinking, detail-driven

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, contracts administration, or vendor operations.
• Fluency with procure-to-pay systems and Airtable.
• Ability to read and interpret contract terms.
• Familiarity with regional contracting and privacy requirements.
• Understanding of research operations and spend management.
• Strong systems thinking and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own spend intake and approvals across multiple systems (Airtable, Zip, Oracle).
• Onboard/offboard vendors, NDAs, and risk reviews end-to-end.
• Coordinate MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and renewals with Legal and Procurement.
• Maintain contract repository and renewals tracking.
• Liaise with Finance and researchers on spend forecasting and budgets.
• Support AI tool data-use terms and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews across regions and legal requirements.
• Maintain Research's operating dataset and knowledge base.
