Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Lab Supervisor for the ElTanbouly Lab in Saint Louis, MO. The appointee will oversee in vivo mouse models, in vitro primary cell culture, flow cytometry, and multi-omic approaches, performing and guiding research tasks.

40-hour work week with responsibilities including supervising staff, maintaining records, developing manuals, and ensuring safety protocols. Strong molecular biology and cell culture skills, mouse handling, and PCR/qPCR experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with mouse handling, flow cytometry and molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Oversees lab operations including scheduling, purchasing and records.
• Supervises lab staff and ensures procedures and training.
• Develops manuals and guidelines for studies and safety procedures.
• Maintains records and prepares study reports.
• Evaluates new methods to maintain quality and standards.
• Assists Dr ElTanbouly and group in scientific discovery.
• Maintains collegial conduct and efficient use of resources.
• Trains others and manages communal facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
