A leading academic health system seeks a lab specialist senior to manage research operations, mentor trainees, and develop innovative lab protocols. This role involves planning experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to grant writing, all within a collaborative environment at Michigan Medicine.
The lab specialist senior position is a 12 month term limited position that will direct daily operations of the research laboratory, including mentoring post-doc, graduate student, and undergraduate trainees. The specialist will plan and conduct experiments; develop new lab protocols and procedures to advance research goals of the laboratory; analyze data; and participate in writing manuscripts and grants. He/she will be a prominent representative of the lab for both internal and external collaborators.
