Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Manager C, Research to coordinate a portfolio of neuroscience research projects. You will lead technical and logistical coordination, oversee data collection, and ensure reproducibility while partnering with researchers across internal and external teams.

You will help develop organizational plans, set deadlines, and manage experiments on energy balance and obesity, while supervising a research team and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and 3–5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience coordinating research projects and managing timelines in a biomedical lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned research area and supervise departmental staff.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop strategic plans and ensure alignment with institutional objectives.
• Plan and conduct experiments on neural and physiological bases of energy balance and obesity in models.
• Manage data collection, analytics, and reporting; ensure quality and reproducibility of research results.
• Foster collaborations with internal and external partners and communicate progress regularly.
• Identify risks, implement controls, and ensure compliance with research protocols.
