The Research Lab Manager supervises and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in research and experimental testing. Responsibilities include maintaining lab operations, investigating complaints regarding lab services, equipment, and capabilities, and applying comprehensive knowledge in the area of specialization. Effective management techniques are essential.
Under supervision, the candidate will work with cell culture of primary and immortalized cells, and with in vivo mouse models. The role involves active animal studies, maintaining mouse colonies, breeding, and executing high-paced research studies. Additional responsibilities include isolating and culturing primary cells from human and animal tissues, performing molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blotting, genotyping, immunohistochemistry, microscopy), keeping detailed logs, general lab maintenance, ordering supplies, and managing invoices.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.
