Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a part-time Research Interventionist who is fluent in Korean and English to support a web-app based physical activity study in the School of Nursing.

Responsibilities include weekly interventions via chat, coordinating participant payments and equipment, and recruiting participants, with remote interviews and flexible scheduling. Immediate start and 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
  • Fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written)

  • Ability to work around participants' schedules across time zones

Job Posting Title: Research Interventionist (Korean-speaking RN)

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 10

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Earliest Start Date: Immediately

Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Aug 31, 2025

Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Purpose

To perform part-time research intervention duties at the School of Nursing, under the supervision of Dr. Wonshik Chee. This study is to investigate the promotion of a web-app based physical activity program.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly Interventions: Conduct weekly interventions with participants via chat in Simplified Korean or English.
  • Procedural Tasks: Maintain a research diary, manage communications for participant payments and Fitbit distribution, and coordinate with the Principal Investigator (PI), Coordinator, and peer interventionists.
  • Recruitment Activities: Engage in recruitment activities to support the study.
Required Qualifications
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license within the U.S.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Korean and English (both spoken and written)
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Zoom, MS Office, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work according to participants' schedules in different time zones.
Salary Range

$36.00 hourly

Working Conditions
  • Research interviews will be conducted remotely via chat and/or video call.
Work Shift
  • Work hours vary based on participant interview availability.
