Hitachi America, Ltd. is seeking a Research Intern in Hardware Implementation and Validation (Energy Storage and Power Electronics) to advance a hybrid energy storage system for data centers.

You will own hardware implementation, validation, and compare measurements with models. You will work with real-time control hardware, develop test campaigns, and document results for internal reports and publications.

Qualifications

• Power systems and power electronics fundamentals.
• Hands-on lab experience with kilowatt-scale hardware.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
• Strong communication and collaboration across disciplines.
• Enrolled in PhD (preferred) or MS in EE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and validate hardware energy storage system.
