Join us to build a long, successful career.

Responsibilities

Dr. Madhuranthakam’s newly established Quantitative Imaging Program in the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking two postdoctoral research fellows. The program focuses on developing and evaluating novel magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques for improved diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy response assessment. The fellows will primarily work on quantitative imaging techniques including arterial spin labeling (ASL) for noncontrast perfusion, diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), and fat/water separated imaging across various anatomies such as brain, kidneys, lungs, and whole-body imaging.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and should be within one year of degree completion. Preferred experience includes expertise in biomedical imaging, MR imaging, pulse sequence programming, and proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C, or C++. A track record of publications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to participate in both independent and collaborative projects are essential. We value teamwork, diversity, collaboration, and an inclusive, supportive laboratory environment.

This is a temporary research position aimed at training and education in research. Candidates will train under Dr. Madhuranthakam’s research program at Mayo Clinic and should demonstrate potential for research excellence, evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications. Qualified individuals may have direct contact with patients or research subjects incidental to their research. Proof of English proficiency is required for certain sponsored statuses.

Qualifications

Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
