Mayo Clinic Rochester invites applications for a Life Sciences Research Fellow in the Translational PKD Center. The role focuses on understanding how primary cilia regulate kidney cyst formation using cultured cells, organoids, and mouse models.

Candidates with strong molecular biology training are encouraged to apply. The position is full-time, exempt, with typical hours Monday–Friday and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
  • Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in PKD pathogenesis research using cell lines, organoids, and animal models.
  • Apply molecular biology techniques including cloning, mutagenesis, cell culture, transfection, and immunoblotting.
  • Collaborate within the Mayo Clinic Translational PKD Center and leverage state-of-the-art facilities.

Education

Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree
