Job summary
Louisiana State University is seeking a Research Facilities Specialist to support the Louisiana Light Source (LLS) at CAMD. You will perform routine facility and equipment maintenance, assist with installation of beamlines and cryogenic systems, and help ensure safe, reliable operation of building and lab infrastructure.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 1 year related experience required.
- Experience with mechanical systems or lab facilities preferred.
- Ability to install and maintain scientific equipment.
Responsibilities
- Facility maintenance under Facility Manager, including HVAC/electrical systems and inventory.
- Assist with installation of beamlines, huts, shield walls, cryogenic support.
- Maintain vacuum pumps and water chillers; diagnose and repair as needed.
- Grounds and exterior upkeep to maintain campus facilities.
- Serve as backup for 24/7 on-call coverage and after-hours response.
