Job summary

ElevenLabs is seeking a Research Engineer to join the research team focused on the data infrastructure powering frontier AI models. You will own systems enabling large-scale data collection, processing, and labeling for training state-of-the-art models.

You will build scalable data pipelines, train models used in data processing, and design curation strategies to improve model performance. Remote-first with global teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building data-intensive systems in support of ML training pipelines.
• Strong engineering skills in distributed data processing at scale (Kubernetes or similar).
• Ability to assess how data quality and curation affect model outcomes and build measurement tooling.
• Bonus: Experience building or operating web crawlers.

Responsibilities

• Build large-scale data pipelines for collecting, processing, filtering, and transforming datasets for training.
• Train models used in data processing pipelines, such as classifiers and quality filters.
• Design data curation strategies to improve model performance through deduplication and labeling.
• Create tooling and infrastructure for researchers to explore and train on massive datasets.
