The mission of the SHAPE Lab is to advance Additive Manufacturing: Design, Material Development and Biomedical Applications; Hybrid Manufacturing; Sand-Printing for Metal Casting.

The Research Engineer supports research and development activities within additive hybrid manufacturing, specifically with hands‑on machine tool integration with mobile robots and foundry operations through the application of known engineering principles and practices in order to develop new concepts, products, equipment, or processes.
This position is funded for 1 year(s); continuation past 1 year(s) will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
The work location will be fully on-site at University Park.
Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. Penn State does not sponsor or take over sponsorship of a staff employment Visa. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $72,300.00 - $108,444.00.
