A leading hedge fund is hiring a Research Engineer to help build the systems that allow ML researchers and quantitative researchers to train models, test ideas, and move successful research into production.

This role sits between machine learning research and engineering. You would work closely with researchers working across areas such as deep learning, time series modelling, prediction, signal generation, NLP, alternative data, and large-scale experimentation

The work could include building research tooling, training pipelines, feature generation systems, experiment platforms, model evaluation workflows, data pipelines, backtesting environments, and infrastructure that helps researchers move from idea to live trading faste

r.
This is not a pure software engineering role, and it is not a pure modelling role either. It is best suited to someone who understands machine learning, enjoys building systems for researchers, and wants their work to have a direct impact on trading outcom
