Leading global hedge fund is looking for an experienced Machine Learning Researcher / Applied Scientist to join a Senior Portfolio Management team. The PM team trades systematic global equities strategies, in which the ML Researcher will be creating artificial intelligence models to analyze a variety of datasets to generate actionable alpha.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML/AI models and experiments against diverse datasets to generate actionable alpha for systematic equity strategies.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Management team to translate research findings into investable signals and risk controls.
• Prototype and evaluate new algorithms and representations suitable for financial time series and large-scale data.
• Communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders and document methodologies and results.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an ML / AI / Applied Scientist from a big tech company
• Prior professional ML / AI projects covering GenAI, NLP, Large Language Models (LLM), Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Neural Networks (NN)
