Job summary

Intermountain Blending & Filling LLC is seeking a Research and Development Technician to assist the R&D team with developing sample product batches and documenting results. You will review batch recipes, weigh ingredients, prepare formulations, and run physical tests (pH, viscosity, color, odor) to ensure products meet specifications, while maintaining GDP-compliant records.

Responsibilities

• Review batch recipes, weigh ingredients, and prepare containers.
• Assist scientists in formulation prep and stability evaluation.
• Conduct physical tests (pH, viscosity, color, odor).
• Scan SDS/COFA into the system.
• Maintain accurate records and GDP-compliant documentation.
• Document data and results per GDPs.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Job description

Intermountain Blending & Filling is looking for a Research and Development Technician to assist the Research and Development (R&D) team with developing sample product batches and reviewing and documenting results.

What You Will Do:

• Review batch recipes, gather and weigh ingredients, and place ingredients in appropriate containers
• Assist Scientists in preparation of formulations and evaluating the stability of batches to meet product standards and specifications
• Conduct physical tests on batch samples including pH, viscosity, specific gravity, color, and odor to ensure product adheres to pre-determined specifications
• Scan Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Certificate of Analysis (COFA) into the system
• Maintain accurate and detailed records and log all work performed
• Document data and results in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
• Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed

We're Looking For:

• Associates degree in an Engineering or Science field or a high school diploma with equivalent experience
• Knowledge of metric weights and measures required
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks and complete task from the start all the way through to completion
• Ability to follow specified processes and detailed instructions
• Ability to solve straightforward problems and seek guidance as needed
• Basic knowledge of computers and all applicable software including Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) a plus
• Ability to work around strong scents and fragrance
• Ability to discern scent and color hues
