Job summary

BD in Covington, GA is seeking an experienced Portfolio Operations & Insights Analyst to support the PMO at the intersection of project execution and business visibility. You will enable PMO processes, maintain data quality, and translate execution data into portfolio insights for leadership.

You will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, collaborate with Finance, and drive data-driven decisions while aligning tools and reporting with broader enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5+ years of portfolio analysis, PMO, analytics or related work.
• Experience with project and portfolio management practices and tools.
• Strong analytical, data management, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance to incorporate forecasts into portfolio analysis and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and leadership reports for data-driven decisions.
• Support portfolio governance, planning, visual management, and PMO processes.
• Coordinate across functions to align tools, data, processes, and reporting with enterprise initiatives.
• Identify and implement AI, automation, and digital solutions to improve execution and data quality.
• Continuously improve processes and reduce non-value-added work for PMs and teams.

Overview:

The Research & Development (R&D) Portfolio Operations & Insights Analyst supports the Portfolio Manager and PMO at the intersection of project execution and business visibility. This role helps enable project teams with effective processes, tools, and data while translating project execution into meaningful portfolio insights for business and enterprise leadership. The Portfolio Analyst provides portfolio analytics, data management, reporting, and technology enablement and partners across functions and with corporate teams to ensure alignment with broader enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enable project teams through effective PMO processes, tools, reporting, and project/portfolio management practices.
• Maintain accurate, reliable portfolio data and drive effective utilization of OnePlan and other PMO systems.
• Translate project execution data into portfolio and business-level visibility, including schedules, capacity, financials, risks, milestones, and project health.
• Partner with Finance to incorporate financial forecasts and outputs into portfolio analysis and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, portfolio metrics, and leadership reporting to enable timely, data-driven decisions.
• Support portfolio governance, planning, visual management, and project management processes.
• Partner across functions and with corporate/enterprise teams to align BU tools, data, processes, and reporting with broader initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and implement AI, automation, and digital solutions that improve project execution, PMO efficiency, data quality, and business visibility.
• Continuously improve processes and reduce non-value-added administrative work for Project Managers and teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience in portfolio analysis, PMO, project management, analytics, or related work.
• Experience with project and portfolio management practices and tools
• Strong analytical, data management, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and apply new technology, including AI and automation, to improve business processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in medical device, life sciences, R&D, or another regulated product-development environment
• Microsoft Project and PMP certification
• Experience with OnePlan, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Copilot/AI, or similar tools
