Florida State University in Tallahassee invites applications for the position of Research Development Coordinator, Science & Technology. The RDC will work with faculty to develop new research teams, foster innovative project ideas, and craft competitive proposals.

The Research Development (RD) team within the Division of Research seeks to fill the position of Research Development Coordinator, Science & Technology. This person will be a critical member of the RD Team and will work with faculty to develop new research teams, foster innovative project ideas, and craft competitive proposals.
The primary responsibility for this role is performing proposal development activities for the area of Science & Technology/STEM, to identify opportunities, assess needs, and provide proposal services for small (1-3 PIs) proposals (editing, mock reviews, etc.). Will also be the production lead for large, multidisciplinary proposals in specialty and may assist with others outside of the discipline area. Will create budgets as needed.
Additionally, this position will provide training and opportunity kickoffs for area of specialty with a minimum of 2 workshops per semester and will work with RD staff on special projects, such as collaboration activities.
Bachelor's degree and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a science and technology discipline
Federal grants experience in either research development or research administration
This position will report to the Associate Director for Research Development.
The RDC will work with faculty across the FSU College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Communication and Information, the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, and several other prestigious institutes and centers.
