Job summary

Florida State University in Tallahassee invites applications for the position of Research Development Coordinator, Science & Technology. The RDC will work with faculty to develop new research teams, foster innovative project ideas, and craft competitive proposals.

The role includes editing and preparing proposals, budgeting, and leading large, multidisciplinary efforts. The incumbent will deliver at least two workshops per semester and collaborate on special RD projects within the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a science and technology discipline (preferred).
• Federal grants experience in either research development or research administration (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform proposal development activities for Science & Technology/STEM, including editing and mock reviews for small teams.
• Lead production of large, multidisciplinary proposals and create budgets as needed.
• Provide training and kickoffs (min 2 workshops per semester) and collaborate on special RD projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a science and technology discipline
