Job summary

Working with RLS colleagues, the role develops training, manages licenses for tools like ChatGPT Edu and Claude, and helps design data literacy curricula while building strong relationships across the HKS community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and minimum 2 years of professional experience in research data services or related role.
• Proficiency in R, Stata, or Python for policy or social science research.
• Experience supporting research in teaching and learning environments.
• Familiarity with data management planning and reproducibility standards.
• Experience designing and delivering instruction or training.

Responsibilities

• Delivers individualized, in-depth research and data consultations to faculty, students, and fellows.
• Assists students and researchers in identifying datasets and data sources, devising research strategies, and using citation tools effectively.
• Designs, develops, and delivers training and workshops to develop research and data skills; creates instructional materials and curricula.
• Administers student licenses for tools used in courses (e.g. ChatGPT Edu and Claude).
• Manages user access to Harvard licensed data, software and other research resources.
• Supports data management processes related to course work, including reviewing data management plans for capstone projects.
