Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and information science, social science, or a related field with 2+ years of professional experience in research data services or related role.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver instruction and training to diverse audiences.
• Experience supporting research in a library/teaching environment and familiarity with data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Delivers in-depth research and data consultations to faculty, students, and fellows, including research design and data sources.
• Designs, develops, and delivers training and workshops to build research and data skills; creates instructional materials.
• Manages student licenses for tools used in courses (e.g., ChatGPT Edu and Claude).
• Manages user access to licensed data, software, and resources for the HKS community.
• Supports data management processes for coursework, including reviewing data management plans for capstone projects.
• Collaborates with Library Services to embed data literacy into instruction and orientations; serves as course consultant as needed.
• Builds relationships with faculty and students to proactively develop services addressing data needs.
• Promotes teamwork and diversity within the department to support the HKS mission.
