Job summary

The University of Maine is seeking a Research Data Security Analyst within the Office of Research Compliance. You will provide programmatic leadership and technical expertise to secure research data across UMaine, coordinating with IT and UMS:IT to support secure research computing activities and ensure data stewardship across units.

You will oversee the creation and updating of data security procedures, manage Data Use Agreements reviews, and evaluate security requirements in contracts,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Cybersecurity/CE or related field.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Export controls and/or research security experience.
• Ability to obtain Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of research data security procedures.
• Serve as liaison between research units and IT.
• Oversee review and compliance tracking of Data Use Agreements.
